Often you find that people focus on the “Drugs” and “Relationships” in the Cape Flats, but the good news is sidelined “Young Women on the Cape Flats Focus on Quraan” and memorisation daily. The young females rock gently on their knees, eyes closed, as if they are lost in meditation. The Female teacher (Haafitha) tilts her head to listen, and the girl begins to chant.
CTIEC Zia ul Banaat celebrated a significant and special occasion, with the tamat of a Young Girl, Raeesa Gaffoor who was recognized for her achievement of memorising the Blessed Quraan.
A Tamat ceremony was held at the Masjidul Kareem Centre in Eagle Park on Saturday 05 June 2021, while being excited and nervous Raeesa recited her last lesson in the presence of family, friends, fellow students, hufaath, elders of the community and Distinguished Ulama.
CTIEC Principal Moulana Sayed Imraan Ziyaee mentioned “Memorizing the entire Qur’an is a dream many Muslim parents today have for their children. And indeed, this is a goal nobler than many if not all others. The CTIEC acknowledges learners who share the same dream that their parents have and assist them in becoming Leaders with the Quraan in their hearts”.
